Thanks Jim. DPS has been stating (per other posts) that they start the 60 days when entered into the system, but legally it starts at packet receipt as you listed.seamusTX wrote:Today is your day 60.
Government Code §411.176(a) says, "On receipt of the application materials by the department at its Austin headquarters..." -- not when they get around to opening the envelope.
It's calendar days, not business days.
Of course, that's all theoretical.

Looking at your sig line i would say about 30 some odd days in. We have been told the 60 days starts when they enter it in the system. If you got your pin about the 26th, then best guess is they entered it sometime shortly before that. Depending on the time it takes to get your background checks back, you probably have at least another 30 to go.
