Where did you get this info from? Also, is that a defense to ANY 30.06 location, or just for 51% locations?

Look at the dates on the posts, these are old.

And to correctly sum it up, the only change that was made was before September 1, 2009, if a location was 51% and didn't have the sign posted, you were still guilty. After September 1, 2009, if the 51% location doesn't have the 51% sign posted, you can still be arrested and charged, but you know have a defense to prosecution written in the law since there was no visible sign posted.

It does not affect 30.06 at all.

Also, your instructor should have covered these in class and provided you with a copy of the statute. IMO, it is really important for a CHL to have these memorized and know where they can and can't carry.
