Not my case, I'm 24 and I waited 5 in a half months total.ATX-Marine wrote:So Im new to the board but have been following everyones time lines since I started this process.
application submitted- 11/14/16
fingerprints-11/20/2016
chl class - 11/18/2016
uploaded docs-11/18/2016
background check under review-11/22/2016
print pending- 02/10/2017
mailed- 02/15/2017 (all green)
I've checked the status page 10 times a day (hahaha) every day since 11/23. I had one arrest from 1989 that I did disclose with case number and outcome (dismissed) during the application process. I was not asked for any additional documentation but that background sure did take a while. Good luck to all of you still waiting and I am over 40 so looks like us old guys do have to wait longer

Re: "Waiting Room"
No my fiance is back at my place in Texas, Im working in Louisiana at the moment and I requested to have it to sent to a house here. They somehow changed my address so it's pointless to have a license if it doesn't match my driver's license address. They are reprinting it and said it will be shipped Friday or Monday. Just a bit irritated but they said they noticed it after the fact.JCC511 wrote:Someone mailing it to you from where it mailed to?

Re: "Waiting Room"
So DPS screwed up just like I said. I would have had my license today but because I'm in Louisiana I requested it to be mailed to a different address than my residence. They did it anyway after they notated my account. Apparently they had a backlog and didn't even read the notes on my account about where to send it. I NEVER requested a change of address. They somehow did it and sent it to my house in Texas which does me no good. Here's to another week of waiting for mail...

Re: "Waiting Room"
Update. After five long months they mailed it. I already ordered my holster, so they should arrive at the same time.
Sweet victory.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Yeah hopefully, I had to grind them about it some. I asked why it was taking five months and why nothing had changed. I was supposed to be receiving a call back but by that time they updated.JCC511 wrote:Waiting for documents from the other state and will be submitting along with the form CHL78C. Hoping for quick processing after that.

Re: "Waiting Room"
So I called them two things, my application was approved and they are printing. The other was that they almost messed up with my mailing address and residential address. Glad I called though.

I just uploaded my court minute and another paper. Crazy cause the papers say too different charges. Even the county I went to jail in doesn't have the charge DPS pulled up.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Yeah I really hope something happens soon. I recounted and I'm on day 53. I will be moving back to Louisiana anyway so it's seems like waiting for this is pointless, but I've already spent the money. Thought it would have atleast shipped by now. Really kinda discouraging.K5CLC wrote:Sorry you are waiting so long, certainly not encouraging for those of us waiting along with you. No other trouble at all. I submitted my documents along with the class in October 2016. I received the confirmation email 10/31/16 that everything was received. I have lived in Texas and Louisiana 5+ years in Louisiana and 3 in Texas. Really no idea what the hold up is, they said they have 60 days but I think I'm on about day 50 or so now, not including weekends. I called DPS and they said they have everything it just hasn't procesed. I have been stuck on pending since 10/31. I'll just continue to be paitent and wait, I really wish I knew what the hold up was though.
