I met a number of MD's who immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa because of the violence.

My wife and I were there to visit an MD buddy and his family who'd migrated to New Zealand from Clear Lake, Texas.

We met the S.A. docs at an almost all MD party and most all from S.A.

They didn't want to leave S.A., but they couldn't remain due to the violence.

Sometimes, you have to move if living conditions are untenable.

My wife and I did 12 years ago, due to the Katrina refugees and their crime. We couldn't stay and put up with it.

Best move we ever made - now living in a most rural part of Texas.

On a side note, a few years back my wife and I went to visit a doctor friend and his family who'd moved to New Zealand.

One night, we went to a party where almost all were MD's. About ten of them were from South Africa.

They'd all moved to N.Z. because they to a person stated, it'd become to darn dangerous to live in South Africa.
