In the past, I abstained from using the 'ignore' feature, but since a few lefties have shown up here to spew they're annoyance the 'ignore' feature works quite well for me...
I don't give a hoot what they say or think.
socialist/commie types cause me no ire as I completely, utterly ignore them.
Not one word of their blather soils my eyes.
So, let em bark, it doesn't matter. They're nonsense is completely invisible to me.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
G26ster,
Consarn it, yer justa kid.
I turned off all the avatars way back and personal home brewed philosophies or copied quotes at the end of so many posts. I found them hackneyed, uninspiring or banal in their complete lacking of originality. Rather along the lines of 'play stupid games/win stupid prizes' posted ad nauseam. How unoriginal and boring can you get, though many seem to think this platitude the height of wit...
I prefer to read original posts with a Joe Friday, just the facts attitudes ma'am without the addition of anything extra...yes, I'm a curmudgeon...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
Even when commenting about quoting causes unnecessary quoting.
Sigh...
I know it's a hard habit to break and I blame no one in particular...it's endemic.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
G26ster,
One of my 'practices' is to 'not read' all the quotes.
Skip right past em I do.
Saves time.
Besides, all that extra posting verbiage is generally boring, so why bother spending time reading all that's come before and already read?
Those who copy a jillion previous posts with a one line post of their own...ugh.

More unintentional humor.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
G26ster posted: "Also, for the life of me, I don't know why folks insist on quoting multiples of previous posts for a one line comment.
Yes, it's a bizarre practice.
Many seem to find it necessary to copy so many different previous posts before they post their own, the point they're trying to make becomes a confused mess.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
I'm so lucky, I don't care what liberal/socialist/commies opine...and so very glad we have an ignore feature, but sadly it doesn't work when they're comments are copied, so I hurry my reading past them...

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
philip964,
No slam on you at all, but I couldn't possibly be interested in the politics of an entertainer.
Most of them are left and most probably don't know why except all their show biz pals are on the left, so all of them being a 'leftist' is fashionable for their crowd.
Quiz them about the mechanics of being left and all you'll get is a 'who me shrug' of complete ignorance.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
I respectfully disagree with: "The two sides are both being controlled by their extremes"
In my opinion only one side is extreme, the left, while the right leans anywhere from complete civility to groveling against the interests of the left.
So, is civil war brewing?
Maybe.
So, is standing up for yourself as a free U.S. citizen extreme when your rights are stripped away by the left (currently fashionable among the left to assume guilt before innocence doncha know...) or hey just give in to the left because we Conservative citizens wouldn't care to appear extreme? Heaven forbid such gaucherie. So, throw in the towel to the left? Just be docile when the left makes proclamations and do as told by them...
Or, do I misunderstand your stance?
Thanks!

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President
All I know is President Trump is a boon to our economy!
Why is that?
Because he's created an economy that isn't beholden to domestic commies.
Rather have a weak, limp wrist for a President? (another obama?)
Not me.
Plus, he doesn't tolerate much anti-American foreign nonsense.
Oh wait, it'd be better to acquiesce in the face of (socialist/communist) disagreement?
Nah, that's for home made commies...
Is our President cuddly?
No!
Is he effective?
Yes!
That's makes the most corrupt, greedy politicians (both both sides) angry.
Good...

The silly drumbeat of: "I was just be sarcastic" didn't 'really' mean it...didn't wash.
I agree with Mojo84 -Sessions needs to go.
