Re: Glock 43
TAM,
If you ever come up with a convincing argument for those who just refuse to carry on their person, Puh-Leeze let me know, so I can convince my wife.
I've tried any number of good reasons my wife should carry, provided great holsters and gun belts and she agrees they make sense and then refuses to utilize them.

Re: Glock 43
TAM,
I hear ya!
My wife has had a CHL for as long as I have and her own Glock 19, but refuses to carry it with one exception: When she travels to a place where she volunteers as it about 35 miles from home. Even then it remains in a pack on the passenger seat.
CC,
No doubt armed irrespective of gun and/or capacity armed is better than unarmed, but what happened to the idea that guns aren't about comfort? That one has to sacrifice a bit regarding clothing and dress around the gun? That was the oft repeated mantra in time gone recently by...
Long having carried a pistol that has more than 2 1/2 times the capacity of a full size 1911 (and other diminished capacity pistols/revolvers) gives me far more confidence if lead starts flying.
Not too long ago, I read a piece about a female HPD detective kidnapped in her driveway. The crooks didn't realize she was an LEO. They didn't check her for weapons. She had a Glock 19 (actually, I'm not entirely certain it was a Glock 19) but it was a large capacity pistol. She unloaded a bunch of shots killing one of the criminals and wounding the other severely enough that he is permanently wheel chair bound. He actually stated he now has nightmares every night regarding his shooting.
Had she had a limited amount of shots, she might not have prevailed.

Re: Glock 43
I'd rather carry a Glock 19 for it's capacity and solid feel.
I remember reading endless comments about carrying a gun isn't about comfort, it's about self defense and how to improve it.
Now, it's all about single stack, comfy guns...
If ever I have to pull my gun, and it only carries 7 rounds, I know I'd be thinking, Egads! Why, Oh Why, do I have a gun with so little capacity?
What was I thinking????
As a BUG, yeah, O.K.
EDC?
NEVER!
