Your point is well taken and if I didn't dislike record keeping so much, I'd probably buy your system.

That said, and what follows may sound a bit wacky, but bear with me.

I'm a birder. (also had been a bird guide for 8 years, though no longer as my voice is shot) There are two types: Those who love being out in the field and viewing the loveliness of birds and nature in general. And, when the day is over they go home with wonderful memories.

Then there are the "Listers". These folks grimly record every detail of every bird, time of day seen, temperature, wind direction, day, month, year and at this point you probably see where I'm going. They don't seem to enjoy the day so much as endure it. I once spotted a lister (big notebook in hand, many pens in shirt pocket) exiting a trail I was about to embark on and I asked if she'd seen any note worthy birds. She angrily snapped at me, that nothing she hadn't seen before. Yikes! No life birds to be seen. Yep, she was angry she couldn't record a new bird in her books.

These folks love record keeping.

I detest record keeping.

No insult to your system, honestly, but if I had to keep up such fine, recorded detail, I'd get out of the hobby.

Heck, I don't even due my own my income tax preparation. I have it done.

Without being unkind, I have to say no, as it seems a bit 'obsessive compulsive' for my taste.

Plus, keeping up with the ongoing addition and subtraction would be a lot of work, at least for me.
