I carry "most" of the time, when it's practical for me, but not at home.

Since it's just my wife and I, I have quick access to firearms if the need arises, but I'm not going to the discomfort of carrying a pistol on me while reading or whatever.

Carrying a gun can be a scary reminder that we live in a potentially violent world and some folks just don't want to admit it.

It's far more pleasant to deny it and live in the world of sugar plum fairies, rainbows, unicorns and gumdrops...
