frazzled,
I can't stand Beck or Hannity either.
Beck would like to be a stand up comedian, but simply isn't funny, more like a loud, crashing bore. Or perhaps boor...How he became a success proves Faustian pacts are possible.
Hannity is Beck's equal in banality and that voice, ay yi yi - fingernails on a chalk board.
They're both conservatives as am I, but embarrassing conservatives.

Re: Types of People Post on this Forum
Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention, but I don't see conservative bias at FNC.
Perhaps, I don't watch enough...?
In the evening, I sometimes watch "Special Report with Bret Baier". Perhaps, because there's no obvious cheer leading of the President and his favored ideas, it's viewed as right wing bias...
During the last twenty-five minutes or so of the show, there's a panel of conservatives and liberals discussing their perspective on a news topic. Of bias, I see none. Both right and left get their say.
"The O'Reilly Factor" is an opinion show and true enough Bill O. is a conservative, but his show consists of liberals AND conservatives airing their views.
FNC daily hosts many liberals and the public listens to their views on a wide variety of subjects. How then is FNC slanted right? Is this perception there because they also HAVE conservatives while precious few are heard on the balance of the news channels?
I was once a regular viewer of CNN and don't recall seeing conservatives on their daily menu.

Re: Types of People Post on this Forum
Beggin yer guvna's pardon, but written in the King's English on my bottle of Macallan are these words: Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky
Please note: Following the word "Scotch" is the word "Whisky" - obviously it doesn't simply end with nothing further written i.e., Scotch IS whisky and a fine one at that...
Now, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Well, hold on there pardner, maybe I'm a liberal after all, well in spirit anyways.
Dark Rum: Oh yeah, love it. My current favorite after Venezuelan Pamplona is ron Cenenario Fundacion twenty year old - from Costa Rica and not available in the states. Hand down the best siping rum in the world.
Bush Mills Single Malt Irish whiskey 16 year old - another favorite
Macallan is one of my very favorite single malt scotch and the 12 year old is just fine
1792 Bourbon aint bad for sipping, but the rough and ready Knob Creek remains one of my favorite bourbons
Friday I'm picking up a bottle of Starka, a brown vodka. I'm not a vodka fan, (with the exception of a Bloody Mary) but when I heard about this being of sipping quality and few us U.S. types knowing about it, well, I had to try it.
Now, (hic) get offa ma lwn...

Re: Types of People Post on this Forum
frazzled,
I can see you might think I aimed that you - Nope!
I was aiming it at all the respectful twains here that'll never meet.
In other words: Everyone!
But, since I've gone on to add more, I'll add even more: In my twenties I was as a liberal. I voted for Sissy Farenthold for Governor and Eugene McCarthy for President.
Now, I'm an evolved conservative, and laugh at most liberal naivety, (like socialism is a reasonable idea and so on...) but retain a few old liberal ideas i.e., I think prostitution and drugs should be legally available to adults, but not in residential neighborhoods or near schools.
If you want to be self destructive, have at it, it's your life.
My drug of choice is the occasional single malt scotch at home and hookers don't tempt me in the least.
Blech!
But, that's me - You want something different, fine.
Now, I told you, get-off-my-lawn!
