They should take the investigation costs out of the HPD pension fund to penalize the bad guys instead of the tax payers.

Re: NH: Pick up truck driver charged with negligent homicide in deaths of 7 motorcyclists
I have the same concerns as expressed by srothstein. If this is the way it happened, I have even more concerns, but I don't know New Hampshire law. If this were to happen in Texas, some may consider that his action of going into the curve too fast meets the Texas definition of Criminally Negligent ...

If you're eligible, there's no need to lie on your application, not outright and not by omission.
Also, DPS isn't the FBI, but never forget how many people go to prison for lying to the FBI about something that itself isn't a crime.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
More than half of the states allow citizens to carry a handgun without a license but I learned to accept that Texas Republicans are not pro gun enough to support mainstream gun legislation like that. You are saying that more than 25 states have so-called constitutional-carry? Chas. I think 25 state...

Re: Dilemma - Car breaks down on way to work
You have this dilemma because your office is posted. Wouldn't it be prudent to find a job where your safety was more important than some loonie left wing agenda?

Re: HB 1819 makes shockwave legal
But the shockwave isn't just a short stock, it also brings the barrel down to 14 inches while even a folder shotgun must still have a 18+. Effectively it's the same loophole as a pistol AR using a "arm brace" stock. Not really. It's more accurate to compare the Taurus Judge to a pistol AR...

Re: President Trump and Congress, WE are waiting...
It reminds me of the NRA magazine cover that asks if we have Trump's back. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but as a public servant he needs to show he has my back before I commit to having his back.
I can wait.
I can wait.

The bills they propose and the laws they pass tell the world if they aim to be public servants or our overlords.

Re: Officials Attempt to Circumvent Indiana Carry Law
It's no big deal because they're just following orders? :banghead: I understand Mr. Freeman is an attorney and has to go to that courthouse for business, but I'm free to be frank about armed men sent to intimidate someone and refusing to say who sent them. Freeman knew that was nonsense, so asked th...
