It is awesome that you have family heirloom firearms. Sadly, my parents were very uncomfortable with firearms. They are yankee's, and had several tragic family deaths involving firearms. The only thing that even resembles a firearms that I hope to inherit is my dad's 1940's Red Ryder BB gun. He shot a bird when 11 with it, I did the same. Honestly that is the only animal I've ever shot. I am looking around for someone to take me hog hunting. Sorry!
