It's the same for any other consumer product. If you have a classic car in good condition, you can probably sell it for more than the original sticker price. However, I think Abraham is talking more about people selling the equivalent of a 2016 Honda Fit for 95% of sticker price when a savvy shopper can get a new one for less. For example, current Glocks for more than online price + FFL fee.
Then there are people who have $$$ "invested" in their DIY "custom gun" slapped together in their garage.
