Re: BATFE: Bump-Stock-Type Devices: Notice of proposed rulemaking
Now, you've got "our guy", Trump, doing something administratively that even Obama didn't think he had the legal authority to do. It's going to set a horrible precedent if it stands. This may cost Trump votes in 2020, not necessarily votes that go to his opponents but aren’t cast at all. ...

Blah. Blah. Blah. Cutting through the noise, the bottom line for me in 2020, is I will not vote for the architect of a firearm accessory ban by non-legislative rule-making.

Re: Student evicted for having a gun
Lewis then contacted police to ensure the firearms were legal. Police agreed to do so and found that the guns were in compliance with Massachusetts laws. Among other things, I think this means the firearms were stored in a manner that complies with Massachusetts law. https://goal.org/storage-and-tr...

Re: Alligator defense question
..... Lake Sam Rayburn is Army CoE. A firearm in your boat would be a federal crime if I understand the laws correctly. Can anyone expound on this please? The property adjoining the lake is private property. At some point there is an invisible line on the shore where we step onto USACOE property (d...

Re: Well... there goes Constitutional Carry
I always find it perplexing to read posts from those claiming to be pro gun who mention laws that are anti gun they like. :iagree: It's almost as perplexing as an organization claiming to be pro gun giving Straus an A grade. What grade would you have given him and why? What did he do to get pro-gun...

Re: Negligent entrustment of a firearm: TX courts haven't ruled.
If you negligently let a non-licensed person drive, and they get in a wreck, you are at fault for "entrusting" them with the vehicle. First, it sounds like we're talking about civil liability, not criminal prosecution. Second, in the automobile example, it sounds like the bar is pretty hi...

Re: Extrajudicial Killing
On the other hand, I'm not so opposed to assassination as an instrument of foreign policy, the same as waging war. If it's moral to kill front line troops, then it's moral to kill military commanders. It's more effective to target and kill a military commander than the troops he commands. It's also...

Re: Conceal Carry at 18 in Texas
Welcome to the Forum. You have to obey Texas laws even when carrying on another States permit. In Texas you have to be 21 to obtain a LTC or be in the military. In Texas deferred adjudication is a conviction for LTC purposes. If somebody with deferred adjudication gets another state's permit, are t...
