I wonder if the planes in the air would just start dropping from the sky? And what if you were just sitting in the plane on the ground waiting to take off when it hit? That would be horrible. I think it would be a struggle to get your checked baggage, and I'm leaning towards maybe even impossible. That would leave you with no weapon, only the clothes on your back and whatever you might have in the carry on luggage you might have. Not to mention, if you aren't at your home airport, that would leave you out of town and basically on your own if you don't have family members or friends in that town. And even if you did, how would you get to them? And even if you are at your home airport, you would still have the issue of trying to get back home.

I have no idea what would happen to our astronauts in space. Maybe ride it out till we get it figured out? Maybe their craft will go dark and have no way of getting back home?

That's it. I officially despise EMP and now voting for the Zombie Apocalypse if I can't die of old age.

Well, Dadgum. Need to start thinking about this. Bicycles would be a tough way to execute my plan. I mean if it were just me, no problem. Dang, I'd hate to be in an airplane when it hit.

Re: If you could only have one gun

So if we encounter an EMP, am I correct in thinking most vehicles will still run? Not sure how that will effect the electronics in our vehicles. Now days, every one of them have a computer in them as far as I know. Of course, it will only go as far as whatever fuel you have in it as getting it refilled seems unlikely. But if a guy is lucky enough to have a full tank, and considering the thing still runs, one could have a 3 (ish) hour trip to get the heck out of Dodge. Given that luxury, I would not stay "in the city" and would make my way to the woods. IF I had to choose 1 weapon, which stays in the guidelines of this thread, it would be my 12 ga shotgun. (I sure would like to sneak a small 9mm in my pocket though) LOL. Are there any checkpoints or metal detectors? Any 06 or 07 signs? :biggrinjester:

I would consider myself about half way prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse. Half way aint gonna cut it when it happens though.
