Re: 30.06 sign on one door, but not another
I have seen this scenario in a downtown Houston building, while visiting a law firm. I entered the building from the tunnel and no 30.06 sign was posted. I did see a 30.06 sign when I exited the building on the street level. As I see it, I did no wrong.

Re: White Sands New Mexico
Unfortunately, I will leave my weapon at home. If there is an issue of my weapon at the front gate and I am wrongfully detained, it doesn't matter to the law officer on the spot. His or her error could result in my having to "explain it to the judge", not to mention a blown spring break tr...

Re: White Sands New Mexico
I just talked to White Sands personel and thet said that I would have to disassemble my pistol and declare it at the front gate. At that time, local law enforcement would come in and decide what to do.

Re: White Sands New Mexico
One more question, does a lockable leather briefcase constitute a lock box? Would a briefcase be suitable for pistol storage in a federal park?

Re: White Sands New Mexico
Thanks Jim. I will get a lock box for the pistol and keep the magazines outside of the lock box. Thanks.

White Sands New Mexico
Next week, I plan to drive my family through New Mexico for five days and one of our stops is White Sands National Park. What do I do with my pistol, as a CHL person, while in the park? Do I declare my firearm at the front gate? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Tower of the Americas, San Antonio 30.06?
I am going to San Antonio in a few days to eat lunch at Landry's in the Tower of the Americas. Does anyone know if it is ok to carry in the tower and in Landry's? I checked the 3006.com sight and it came up negative. Thanks.

I never had the chaffing that yall' are getting when I used to carry in the waiste band. I have a Glock 27 with a Galco IWB holster. Used to, when I was very portly. my little Glock rode fairly comfortable in my IBW holster. Since then I have lost over six inches in the waist and am no longer portly...

Re: Help Addressing In-Law Concerns
I was told by my grandmother-in-law that I was "barbaric".... If it were me, I would say "Call me Conan"! Actually, I wouldn't say much at all. I am getting to the point in life that I don't care what others think of me. As in your case, and in mine too, we both know that we are ...

Interstate Transport of Firearms
Recently, I have inherited several rifles, pistols and shotguns from my family in Florida. I plan to make the drive out east to pick them up this fall. Does anyone know the laws of interstate transportation of personal firearms? Should I consult an attorney before I make the trip? In this day and ti...
