Firearm Related Statistics Forum Section?
So today I was having a conversation with someone over the recent shootings and their views on what laws should be written and while I was bringing up points to show how what they thought wasn't really fact based I couldn't at the moment bring up FBI stats and other government reports showing the pr...

Re: Trump health chief supports CDC research on gun violence
An honest and accurate assessment of the causes of violence in America, regardless of the weapon used, is impossible for the federal, state and any large city to come up with, because the truth is too much for half or more of Americans to acknowledge or accept. Violence has been glorified and promo...

Re: Crypto-currencies
What are yalls thoughts on Ripple? We have a little Ripple. Bought some back when you could buy it on their website (2 years ago?). Recently picked up a few more. Ripple is a commercial payment infrastructure, so it is different than all other things out there, even though they look deceptively sim...

After some research apparently it's legal in Texas to use a "device" to protect your property.

Re: Anyone here own a Ruger LC9S Blue Titanium?
Don't own one but have looked at them, since Ruger doesn't even have them listed on their site (that I can see) I checked out the Cabela's site http://www.cabelas.com/product/Ruger-reg-LC-s-reg-Pistols/1182399.uts . At the bottom is a chart of all the specs for the different models. While nothing ab...

Re: Clearing Overgrown Land
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, unfortunately being in my late 20's with a growing family I don't have a lot of disposable income to hire a dozer or anything. I have looked at renting one of those DR brush trimmers, but I think I'll have to get the larger saplings down my hand first. I like...

Clearing Overgrown Land
Just found out that our family has had 70 acres of land that no one really knew about until recently and was able to drive out there this last weekend to see what kind of condition it was in. As expected I could tell other people had been driving around on it, though it's not posted or anything so I...

Re: How do you train at the range?
switched over to my carry gun and shot at B-27 targets at about 10 yards, drawing from my holster, firing three rounds as fast as I could and still be accurate and then re-holstering and I did this with about 50 rounds. Can I ask where you able to shoot that way? It seems every range around me has ...

How do you train at the range?
Today I finally got out to the range for the first time in about a month and usually when I go to the range I'll take an assortment of guns and just shoot paper with no rhyme or reason, just out to have a good time shooting. Today I just took two AR's and my carry gun, I shot the AR's at paper at ab...

Really nice 10/22!
Where did you get the covers for the rails on the AR? Been wanting to add some to my wife's but haven't been able to find them in purple.

Re: Smart Guns
Are we strictly talking about handguns? Because if someone was to offer me one of these, I'd take it smiling all the way home http://www.tracking-point.com/ . But for a EDC, no I barley can keep my phone working all the time, don't want to have to worry about my gun to.

Re: US Amry wants to bring back the Battle Rifle
Consequently, the Army wants to enable the rifleman to accurately engage targets at a further range than the current 5.56mm Not quite sure why the basic rifleman needs weapons designed to engage targets beyond 500yrds - because the M16/M4/5.56 can accurately and easily do that range without a probl...

Re: US Amry wants to bring back the Battle Rifle
I think the HK417 would be a better option and easier transition since the platform is closer to the M4 than the FAL.
