  7-1 - Prints received
  7-3 - Prints approved
  7-8 - Background check approved / Completed, Print pending
  7-13 - License mailed
  7-14 - Plastic in hand

22 Days from class/application to plastic in hand.
Longest 22 days of my life!

Yeah. I wouldn't consider open carry unless I'm not planning on entering any establishments. Maybe if I go to a park or a friend's place. Maybe.
I subscribe to the belief that it's safer if no one knows you're armed.

Looks like you're roughly in the same time frame as I was.
I'd give it another week if I were you. Waiting for the prints and background check to clear
does feel like it takes the longest though. Hang in there.

The long wait is finally over! I should be getting plastic in hand either tomorrow or the next day.
21 days from class and application. Thank you very much, DPS. Anyone else have a shorter timeline than myself?

Now I'm stuck on

• Background Check : Under review
  License To Carry A Handgun : Print pending completion of application review

That week from my appointment with prints and the prints being approved was perhaps the longest week of my life.
These two days that I've been stuck with just the background check has been even longer.

Hang in there people, I feel your pain.
