Re: "I, Sniper", a Bob Lee Swagger Novel
I am about half way through the audio book that I picked up at the local library. It is the first Bob Lee Swagger book that I have read but it will not the last. Pretty good so far.

It makes for better TV to have some movement. It is always cool to rack a shotgun or pistol.

Re: Comfortable Concealed Carry options?
I have tried inside the waistband holsters and they are great with a long untucked shirt. I carry this way on weekends and when traveling. CompTac's are great. During the week, I have a tucked in shirt. I have had mixed results with IWB and normally carry a snub nose .38+P in a pocket holster. It is...

Re: CHLer shoots burgler in Manvel
This guy sounds like he had thought out what to say ahead of time and did a very good job in my opinion. It would be hard for the average citizen or even the press to find any wrong or even questionable acts. 1) I did not want to shoot anyone. 2) I am having a hard time with this and need counceling...

Re: Land survey question
1000.00' is the slope distance.
80.00' is the change in elevation.
996.79' is the horizontal distance.
The horizontal distance of 996.79' would be shown on a typical boundary survey map.

Re: Shotguns for the Ladies in my life.
I'm putting together a HD shotgun. I have a 870 12ga that I am not using and found an 18.5" barrel for $40. I am thinking about putting a Knoxx adjustable length/recoil reducing stock on it. If that works out well, I will add a light. Maybe a Surefire foregrip. The price adds up quickly but if ...

Re: HK or Walther?
Get Both
My wife has a HK45C for her "big" pistol and wants a Walther PPS 9mm for her "small" pistol. She has a thing for German guns with unusual mag release levers and expensive magazines.
The HK has always worked and puts holes where she want them.

Time for some formal training
I have been shooting for several years and my wife for a few months but she is catching up quickly. We have both have a few hours of training here and there but we are ready to for a longer 1, 2 or 3 day class. The CHL covered the legal side so we are looking for self defense basics and a primer for...
