Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may seem harmless, but she's a virtue signaler on steroids and a nonstop headline-manufacturing machine.
The left adores her, and for conservatives, she's a gift that keeps on giving — because she is either too naive or arrogant to rein herself in. Don't listen to those who advise not to be roped into her spotlight-seeking trap. Give her all the attention she craves — and more rope.
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson ... g-n2544079Her point is correct, except for the fact that (a) President Roosevelt (who ignored the Washington-set precedent of serving a maximum of two consecutive terms) had been dead for roughly two years when the 22nd Amendment was passed by overwhelming and bipartisan Congressional majorities, and approximately six years by the time it was ratified by the states and implemented, and (b) even if it had been directed at FDR while he were still in office, the amendment only applied to future presidents. It's also worth noting that Republican majorities were only able to introduce this ultimately-successful amendment because they'd won sweeping landslide victories in the 1946 midterm elections, winning control of both legislative chambers.

CNN decided to interview some Democratic voters and found that one figure, in particular, is driving voters away from the Democratic party, and it’s none other than New York’s freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
People who are advocating massive changes to the United States should be able to clearly and correctly communicate facts. Fact: there are 50 states. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have backing for her Green New Deal from fellow progressive politicians but if the widespread criticism she’s received hasn’t been telling enough for her, perhaps the renewable energy sector’s dismissal of it will be.
Representatives from solar and wind companies lauded the “enthusiasm” behind the GND but called it out for being completely unrealistic and too politically divisive, according to a Reuters report.Say what?? She needs all the publicity possible. She is the voice of where they want to take the country. Everyone needs to hear and understand.
