I wrote to Bob Onder, assistant floor majority leader and heard back from him tonight. He will be sticking with his vote he told me and will vote for overriding! I'm sure he's been targeted by Bloomberg too since he's one from the metro area as well. Ryan Silvey's district is being targeted by Bloomberg with polling, but Silvey as mentioned doesn't believe demanding moms and will vote to override he said.
That basically leaves Kraus and Schmitt, two remaining ones from the two main metro areas (Stl, KC)in question that are likely being heavily lobbied by Bloomberg to flip.
You have Kurt Schaefer from the more moderate Columbia area, but there is no way in hell he would even think of not voting to override this bill, very pro gun guy, and Senator Wieland from stl area, Jefferson County but he also said he strongly supports the bill and will be voting to override. Jefferson county while swing county is very pro gun and it would be political suicide for Wieland not to vote for the override.
I'm feeling more confident about the senate side though. With the house we still have two democrats who will likely stick by their votes for it, and 6 republicans who were absent the last day. Democrat Stephen Webster back in July said he was switching to voting nay on the override he stated.
Thanks for your email. I'm with you 100%. I voted for the bill in the
session, and I will vote to override.
Bob
