Checked this morning and the web page status has changed. Also, checked for my wife who has identical time table, and web page reflects mine.
At least their is one advantage to living in San Antonio. TxDPS mailed my wife and my license yesterday, and today they were in our mail box. The cool thing is that like the drivers license, the expiration is on your birthday. My wife and I are both born in the same month so we can renew at the same time. So with that said, I wish those who are still waiting the best of luck.

Re: "Waiting Room"

For what it's worth, Mine was a no brainer as far as background investigation. I just retired from the Army in 2013 and since then have not worked. I have a 100% disability rating with the VA and I also get military retirement pay. I haven't even had a speeding ticket since 1995. BTW...My online status hasn't changed either.

Re: "Waiting Room"

Do those people take lunch. I just called to check my status and after receiving the message about long wait times, the same message finished with please try your call again later. Then hung up on me. It was the 512-424-7293 number.

Re: "Waiting Room"

Hello I'm new to the forum. I'm retired US Army as of Aug 2013. My wife works at USAA in San Antonio. We submitted our paperwork, fingerprinted, and took our LTC/CHL class together. 27 April puts us at the two month mark for waiting. When I contacted the Texas DPS they indicated it could take up to five months.
