Agreed. Could also use some volunteers to help block walk among other activities. Donations help, but volunteers are the life blood of any political campaign.

I’m starting to get a little shaggy.
Not her personally, as she is not a stylist. He did get his hair cut in her salon today though. It was posted online by KWTX News 10 on facebook.

There ya go. Thanks. Just found a link to a local Houston ABC affiliate story, too: https://abc13.com/society/no-more-jail- ... s/6159632/. Gov. Abbott probably never envisioned that county officials would be releasing known felons from jail in the name of COVID-19, and then sending law-abiding business owners to jail with the same justification.
For the record, she was jailed on the charge of contempt (both civil and criminal), not for violating the EO.

That said, I donated last night to this lady's fund.
I have a fun story to tell you about her if I see you on Saturday for breakfast. :tiphat:

If she was truly opening to feed her kids, she will have a hard time doing so in jail. Seems she would have been a lot better off just doing what he asked and waiting 4 more days to reopen. As for her employees, they could file unemployment. Or, why didn't she file for the PPP loan to pay her employees through this? Then, after she reopens, put up a campaign to elect someone else in place of the judge. The way she tore up the order so defiantly, seems she was just looking for her 15 minutes of fame
In this economy I will do what I have to do to feed my kids and actually am. Daughter and SIL both laid off so we bought them groceries to last a couple of weeks.
According to her testimony during the hearing, she does not pay the stylists directly, the customers/clients do. That would imply that she merely owns the salon and rents booths to stylists. How would a PPP loan help in this case?
