Republicans only have a 17 vote majority in the house. I suspect Bonnen would have broad support from democrats and some republicans. There would have to be a MAJOR overturn in the house, for Bonnen to not be reelected speaker. This assumes he defeats his primary and general opponents. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 7:57 pmAnd Bonnen used to be A rated, did he not? So an A rating may not mean that much anymore.Charles L. Cotton wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 12:08 pm Bonnen screws Texas gun-owners again. The Bonnen Committee consists of:
A-Rated Republicans = 7
D-Rated Democrats = 4 (Two should be rated F; i.e. Nevarez and Moody.)
F-Rated Democrats = 2
Be sure to let your Representatives know how you feel about Bonnen. BTW Dennis, the NRA is not a fringe organization.
Chas.
Charles, is there ANY chance that republicans will remember Bonnen's deceitfulness and replace him in he next session? Do they have the votes?
