A little after my 60 day mark I called this number and spoke to a gentleman that looked up my app and my wife's and found that the background checks were back and they were just waiting for final processing. He passed them on to someone to get them completed and on to print. He told me 7-10 days depending on mail time. This was on a Tuesday and our plastic was in our hands on Monday. If you get anything said other than that please update us. I'm curious to see if this number is better or just another ploy to get us to stop calling RSD/DPS.
BTW they do not mail directly from Austin. Each batch goes to a company in San Antonio that puts them in envelopes and actually mails them out. That probably takes a couple of those 7-10 days.
