It's hard to go wrong with the tried-and-true Ruger, either the traditional style, or the .22/45 if you like a 1911 grip angle. They're rugged, reliable, and available in a mind-numbing variety.

I like the Walther P22, although I don't own one. The Beretta "Neo" is a little out there, style-wise.

I'd like to have a good single-action 9 shot .22 revolver, too. You don't have to worry about snakeshot not cycling the action if you're cycling it by thumb power. :D
