If you live on a road maintained by TxDOT (any state highway or FM road, for instance), you don't have the option of vandal-proofing your mailbox.

Did you have a vehicle parked where he could see the plates? If your SO is equipped with MDTs, you wouldn't hear anything about it on your scanner.
