Just check the employee handbook carefully. Some companies give you a backdoor pass: when my wife accepted a job at a major national retailer (they called her!), we looked carefully through the employee handbook. It said (my paraphrase): "Illegal weapons are not allowed on company premises." Key word being "illegal".

I know the store manager, firearms manager, and several other employees at the Texarkana Gander Mtn. They all have CHLs, and gripe that they can't carry at work.
