Re: How long was your wait?
. In the meantime I may consider applying for a license in a different state who has an agreement with Texas. I was in a forum yesterday and people were talking about how it's $25-75 for an LTC in a bunch of other states, no mandatory class, and it took less than 2-3 weeks to get approved. I have he...

Re: Loading The Ruger Mk II Mag
MagLULA (UpLuLa) makes a mag loader for .22. I have the 9mm-.45 version. Definitely the best thing I have ever used. About $30.

Re: How long was your wait?
Don't shoot the messenger, I was only posting my wait time. I, too, think anything beyond 30 days is excessive. I can only assume that my application was approved and printed in 50 days because of previous security clearances. It's the state bureaucracy, there is no formula that I can see. Good luck...

Re: Have you experience with Under-dash holsters?
My understanding is, you can conceal it in the glove box or console or in a holster on your belt. It cannot be seen, or it's illegal. Under the steering column might be seen from some angles and considered not concealed.
I have a comfortable holster, so I keep it on my belt when driving.

FMJ is for the range. JHP for self defense.

Re: Microsoft Hijacking
The Windows Automatic Update was enabled. I did decline the licensing agreement, but the pop-up was still there. In spite of my best efforts I couldn't do anything until I agreed to install it within 4 days. Wife is not having much trouble with Windows 10, so, I guess we'll just move on. It's inevit...

Sounds like phone phishing to me. Completely bogus.

Re: Pulled over today in small town Texas.
You might as well show your LTC with your drivers license because they are forever linked in the DPS database. If you don't and the officer checks your license they will probably wonder why you didn't show your LTC. While commuting every day to work I keep my pistol in the glove box. If I am traveli...

Microsoft Hijacking
I willingly "upgraded" to Windows 10 last year. By the time I figured out that I really didn't like it, I had already passed the 30 day option to roll back to Windows 7. For the last three days Microsoft has had constant pop-ups on my wife's laptop. I had chosen the auto update option to h...

Re: Good News
I logged in a few minutes ago and the website has not changed. I'll just roll with the punches and try to be patient for another 11 days. I can only assume that my background check took very little time, I have worked around and traveled with every President since Jimmy Carter. Don't know if the DPS...

Good News
I completed everything and mailed documents on Jan. 20th. I have been unable to reach a person by phone or see a status update online (no change online), until today. I started calling at 5:00PM, got "on-hold' music at 5:15. At 5:30 a lady answered and said my application had been approved and ...
