Sorry, if slightly off the topic, but as a person who tends toward being a loaner, I'm often amazed that people either are greatly bothered by rudeness and profanity or just don’t seem to care at all. I also notice it tends to run along family lines, it's almost as though people learn to despise profanity, or to use it. Thank about it, if any one "care'd to use profanity" they would be posting objections to the rule, but there are people who "care not to use" and they post support.
Just an observation, the rule doesn’t bother me.

Maybe a bit subjective
Perhaps one should consider a 5 year old, as I think about, there's a lot I would have no problems saying or typing around a modern 10 year old, that I would not use around a 5 year old. The internet, TV and all that chatting & tx-ing have broadened the 10 year old vocabulary.
