Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms

That one read much better than the other ones! IF I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night.... I would ask:
1) were guns banned from classrooms in the college shooting mentioned? Did that help?
2) Linked to the above question, would this law have made a difference in the victim count?
3) how many deaths, serious assaults, and sexual assaults have happened on the UT campus? Would crime slow down if the crimal THOUGHT the victim might ba carrying?
4) Professors have been assaulted on the UT campus before, perhaps if a professor fears for her life he/she should hire a off duty LEO to be in the classroom. UNARMED of course!

Excuse typos

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms

I feel like it is going to be a long time until any new post on this.. injunction denied= case on back burner....

AG should be going back to focusing on 30.06 and 30.07 complaints, I'm sure he is thinking the same :hurry:

No one will be charged or arrested, especially in the liberal bastion that is Austin.
Nor should they be....maybe a generational difference. I think "these items" (seriously can we not be adults and just say it?) should be a much more open discussion. I mean a 12 year old can buy condoms but one must be 18 to experiment privately...and we wonder why teen pregnancy rates are what they are...but I digress..

I don't think many college students are going to be offended and make a complaint with the police due to the display. More likely they will be curious or amused or both.
:iagree:

I lived for 4 years in PA in my mid 20's and Toy parties are VERY popular! They even have party classes to teach guys and girls different... Personal techniques. People are very open with their sexuality. Here in Texas is a very different story. Good/bad I can't say, just different! But i can say that talking about it and not being ashamed grows confidence in who YOU ARE!

OR option #3. resign....(close to #2, just sounds better!)

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms

I would have to say that they letter our AG "wrote" was very well written!!!! I honestly couldn't stop reading it! I don't think these professors have a CHANCE.
With that being said, you know someone was going to challenge the law... I do however believe that one law leads to more. It works both ways. Private schools are next, then all personal business.

I wonder how long it will take for the Judge(s) to decide?
