Re: Taco Cabana customer services department response
If ya'll remember, there was a thread here a couple years back with an email exchange with someone in the corp office.
at that time, the person said that the 30.06 sign was their policy, and that's the way it was. they put up the "not legal" signs on the door as a courtesy, and had "legal" signs on the inside. sometimes these "legal" signs were hard to locate, sometimes they were not found, but that's what the corporate office said, once again, at that time.
it appears that corporate office has rethought their stance, and we win. unless you're on a diet, then we lost....
ya'll enjoy.

Re: Taco Cabana customer services department response
there are some apartments there, right next to the Huffines Middle school that I used to live at. I used to walk down to that Mobil station, on the corner of Valley Parkway and Garden ridge....
Josh: I take those "no weapons on this premises" as a sign aimed at the gang bangers, or anyone else. they don't apply to us. just like the "unlicensed possession" signs.

Re: Taco Cabana customer services department response
As I'm sure you all were waiting with bated breath (how is that spelled?), I stopped by the ol Cabana-Rama (as me and my buddy used to call it), and sure enough, after some serious inspection and a chicken Burrito Ultimo, not a 30.06 sign in the place. I believe that there is some adhesive on the front door where the sign used to be, but alas, it is no more.
I, personally, feel this should very well be considered a victory for our side. Not only have all the signs (at least the ones verified by our fine constituency) been removed, but I believe an "official statement" has come from those from up on high.
Once again, and I speak only for myself, I believe this makes them "Open for Business" to our ilk, and they should be removed from our "black list." Now, Grapevine-Mills Mall.....

Yeah, I smooth forgot to check it out....NcongruNt wrote:I sent a PM to the author of that entry, requesting he verify and revise the posting. I'm not sure how Russell wants to proceed without an answer from the OP, but I'd bet if we get no answer and another person verifies the absence of the sign, we can likely just modify the entry to reflect the change.Morgan wrote:DoubleJ wrote:I will personally make it my endavour to run recon on the Denton, and 2 Lewisville stores, this weekend.

You don't need to hit the stores in Lewisville. They're not posted. Neither the one at Vista Ridge that is listed on the 3006 site (I commented on the listing but the original poster hasn't removed it) nor is the one on Main Avenue. I live less than 5 minutes from the Main location and drive by the Stemmons one all the time. Don't let that STOP you if you're looking forward to that much Taco Cabana food...just saying it's not NECESSARY. LOL
I'll try to remember on the way home from ze gym (which will give me a great reason to go in there
takin' one for the team... that's how I roll.
oh, and yes, they are exponentially better than Taco Bell. I'd put'em par with Bueno, but not as good as Rosa's.
as a pure Burrito joint, I'm a big fan of Chipotle's. but that's just me.

I'd say so. I would say, that, if this is from as High Up the corporate ladder as can be, then I would take this as Taco Cabana's corporate position to not ban CHL holders.mr.72 wrote: Does this indicate TC has a corporate policy not to prohibit guns on in their stores?
and I would make a point to get a bean and cheese taco there with the salsa verde.....
maybe some chips and queso wouldn't hurt.....
just one Burrito Ultimo won't completely ruin my diet...
right????
btw, thanks Morgan. you and I used to live so close it's ridiculous. I usedta reside on valley parkway, off of main...
