If it has a legal length barrel, and isn't select fire, it's not an M4, it's an AR-15. (or M4gery )
the point I make, that my good friend expounded upon, is that if you use the term that the ANTI's love (assault rifle/weapon) then you give creedence to them, and their ignorance.
I'm only mildly trying to give you a hard time, in the hopes that my friendly chiding will get you to use the correct vernacular, thusly adding one more person to "our" side, not "theirs."
and the term I personally like is SUR (Sport Utility Rifle)
