I recently purchased one as well. It's sa/da in .40. I traded in my baby Glock for one.

Re the snap caps, I always heard that it was ok to dry fire a modern center fire pistol and I always did with no concern. I never broke a firing pin.

However, after reading an HK site (HK Pro), I bought a snap cap. The site has several comments about broken firing pins and many members seem to reccommend using them with HKs. The comment by SRVA seems to support that.

Incidently, I liked the sk so much I have also purchased the P2000. It is slightly larger, about the size of a colt commander. Holds 12 rd mag which also will work in the sk.
