Yes, that's true for anyone. One person can be convicted of more than one crime, and each conviction counted, but, not necessarily the same number of people.

I so wish there was a related bit of research available with this conviction data ...Like the case numbers used to build the conviction numbers.

what were those cases about?

I don't know where you would access it, or if you would have to do an open records request, but, if an LTC holder is convicted, of any felony, his LTC is revoked. There also has to be a reason given, for the revocation. If the reason is "convicted, of murder" , then it would be a simple way to locate that person's case. I don't know if these records are available, but it might give you a way to look up the cases. JMHO
