The left, were lied to so often that they don't know which way to turn. The Republicans, put together a group of candidates that represented a vast cross section of America, Hispanic, African American, male and female. The left only offered two whiter than white candidates, one an avowed Socialist, and the other a criminal.
The left was told that Donald Trump was a clown, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, racist, sexist, and any other name they could throw out to distract from the failing polices of the last eight years, and that their next president would be the savior, Shrillery. No matter how crooked the DNC, the MSM, and her campaign managers were, they fully bought in. The polls all told them it was in the bag, and that they could just relax and enjoy the ride over the cliff with the rest of the country. They never saw the warning signs that were glaringly obvious to to free thinkers.
What gets me now, is that they are still stuck in their echo chambers. They can't see that their tactics, are exactly what put Trump in office. People got tired of seeing BLM riots, being told that their little girls would have to share restrooms with men in dresses, that abortion should be publicly financed, that rising health care costs were just a way of life, religious freedom was only for selected religions the left deemed worthy. Being told that if they were not black, Hispanic, Muslim, trans gendered, or any other part of the downtrodden, then their thoughts and voices don't matter. After eight years of being ignored, and ostracized, the free thinkers took back their country.
The name calling, protesting, denigrating, etc. didn't work before the election, but the left obviously think they didn't do it enough before, so they are doubling down. They are their own worst enemy. JMHO
