I've found most people are oblivious to their surroundings, even in uniform people sometimes don't even notice we are armed, so take off the "look at me" clothes, and the gun carried in a good owb pretty much disappears if you go about your business and act naturally most people won't even see you at all.
The few times I have OC, I haven't been wearing any thing with bright colors, Usually khaki colored pants, with a plaid or print shirt. My brown DeSantis holster blends in and as I stated in another thread, have only had one person ask about it ( another LTC holder) When I was a LEO I was very aware of my surroundings, and avoided places that might put me in too much close proximity to others, while in uniform, and I have found that those habits don't die out as a civilian. My situational awareness is greatly increased when OC.
