Never count on free parking in downtown San Antonio. Just accept that paying for parking is part of the price of whatever you're doing.nightmare69 wrote:The lot doesn't look free anymore. We paid 8 bucks to park last time down the road.

Re: Where to eat in San Antonio
I think the Liberty Bar is great, but it's toward the pricey end by the standards of my wife and me. Maybe that says more about us than the place.68Charger wrote:I personally love going to Liberty Bar, or Rosarios.
I have not been to Rosarios in a long time. I remember the food as good, but it was noisy and service was horrifically slow.

Acenar would be one of the better Riverwalk choices.atx2a wrote:I always love Acenar

Re: Where to eat in San Antonio
Regrettably so, though the last time I was at Casa Rio (quite some time ago), it was better than most. As mentioned, Los Barrios and La Jacala are good, as is La Fogata on Vance Jackson. Truthfully, in San Antonio, most hole-in-the-wall taquerias are pretty good.JakeTheSnake wrote:Most restaurants on the riverwalk are for tourists, not locals.
If you want something a little nicer, consider Ernestos, which is just outside Loop 410 on Jackson Keller, where Jackson Keller intersects Vance Jackson. You won't be sorry.
I second the mention of Shilos. If the weather's not too hot, consider their split pea soup with a bratwurst. They're also known for their root beer.
