Re: Just need some prayer today
Done.
Devine providence generally works out for good people. No matter what happens, I am sure that God will walk with you. I pray that you can feel and recognize that presence as well.

Re: I let my LTC expire
Isn't there also a difference as to what can happen in a school zone, e.g. "zone" vs "premises." For example, with a LTC, I can pull to the curb or walk up to the door to pick up my son from school, whereas without, I would be in violation. Perhaps I remember the law incorrectly.

Gov Abbot just helped some to allow for personal liberty. If the States assert power, it will help quite a bit.

Re: Shooting in Arlington School
This will be an interesting legal case if the bullying part is true. It does seem that he just got pummeled by the other kid--although who knows who started it...the kid with the gun may have been feeling extra confident. A judge/jury (and even the charges brought) could be a little more lenient if ...

How much is too much?
I'm going to call this a self-defense related political issue--- I ask this question here because I believe we are basically all respectful group of people that love our country--we can have an honest conversation. The infringement on liberties has accelerated quite quickly since 2 weeks to slow the...

Re: Texas-Made Suppressors Exempt From NFA Regulations HB 957
Don't forget Kansas tried this and people have been convicted on federal charges. I would not touch a non NFA Taxed suppresser. I volunteer as tribute. We need to pick our defendant. We need someone where hearing is a problem, or where there is a present neurological problem that makes wearing hear...

Re: Dem lawmakers fleeing Texas
Can we draft up a bill that would be repulsive to them and tell them that it will also be part of the special session if they are not back by the end of the month? Some ideas: --extend constitutional carry to actually be constitutional carry (18 years old) --border wall/security funding --real energ...

Re: Cuba
I wish we could just buy Cuba. They have a strong dictatorship...pay them off. The investment would be worth it from a security perspective. You could probably sell off land to private companies (to recoup some investment) and make it the best vacation points in the world. I know it is more complica...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party
That's just one article, so look for more if you want to confirm the facts. Note that the article is quoting heavily from testimony given by West and his men during the Article 15 hearing. It's not just NYT propaganda. West violated the UCMJ pure and simple. The amount of intelligence, or lack ther...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party
There's much that will come out about Allen West as the campaign heats up. There's a hell of a lot more voters need to know about West than just his blatant disregard of the law. The paragraphs below were taken from a 2004 New York Times article. In August, Colonel West learned from an intelligence...

Re: TX: Road-raging gun-toting motorcyclist shot by SUV driver
The gray area here on the law is annoying. Lane splitting should be legal, but you should have rules around it (e.g. less than 20MPH, etc.). So we should pass a law in this regard. That will also make it so drivers are not so annoyed with it. That said, this appears to be pure road rage. Probably sh...

Sec. 9.32. DEADLY FORCE IN DEFENSE OF PERSON. (a) A person is justified in using deadly force against another: (1) if the actor would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.31; and (2) when and to the degree the actor reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necess...

Re: Plano: Leftists Dox Texas Man Who Confronted Gun-Toting BLM Goons Blocking Traffic
If they are wearing body armor and carrying guns (and pointing them at a person who is just trying to drive legally on the road), we need to shut this down fast. It is not protected speech to block a busy intersection. What do these people actually want? If I remember right, the officers involved in...
