Re: 2016 Application Watch - post your 2016 timelines here
UPDATE: The Governor's office isn't playing around. A lieutenant from DPS just called and told me that "You been selected to issue, your LTC is currently in San Antonio". I got the response from the Governor's office late yesterday via email, stating that they were going to contact the Director of DPS to get a status update and rectify my situation.mkruck wrote:Day 87. I've now resorted to emailing RSD daily, not that I'm expecting an answer from them, or that they're even reading the emails. Received responses from the Governors office, my state representative (both of which have promised to at least get me a clear status) and my state senator (who basically told me to go pound sand).
Anyone reading this that submitted in January and is still waiting - fire off a polite request for help to the Governors office. Only takes a few minutes to, and it may help. I'm still skeptical, but we'll see over the next few days.

Day 85. I couldn't take it any longer, finally emailed my state representative, state senator and the governors office. Not that it will help, but the nicely worded, polite rant made me feel better.

My patience finally ran out and called RSD, currently on day 61. Submitted and confirmed 1/25/16, and they let me know that yes, they have all my documents, but they haven't even started the background check yet. I don't even know what to say about that.
