Congratulations!

Which Sig did you buy? I've been looking at the P938s for a while now...
Thanks!

Found a good deal on the SP2022 (the "Poor Man's Sig") in .40 S&W. Goes nicely with my P226, though. ;-)

I've got a Glock 22 and that thing is way too large to carry without practically screaming "Hey, look at me, I'm carrying!!!", and love .40 S&W purely from a fun to shoot standpoint. I'm going to work the Sig into my daily carry rotation with my VP9 and Walther PPX.

The PPX and the SP2022, even though their considered the red headed stepchildren of their respective brands, are incredibly underrated and overshadowed by their more expensive brethren.

Website change this morning! I had just given up all hope. I checked before I went to bed, so they must be working through the night. I'll update when I have card in hand.
Day 89, website changed this morning. Had to check twice to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

JoCannonIV wrote:Just got off the phone with RSD, very nice and polite. There has always been a debate on the timeline of 60 days, is it 60 calendar days or 60 business days? Personally I don't care as long as I understand which.

My all in date was 2/16/16 and according to the phone call I am at 47 days (business day :skep:) and 60 days will be May 10th, 2016. This basically boils down to 12 weeks not 6 weeks :nono:. I know there will be a lot of you that don't agree with their statement on business days (please don't :fire the messenger). I am just happy to have an answer and have a better idea of when to expect approval.

So I am just going to sit back and wait at least 2 1/2 more weeks :waiting:.

Hopefully this information helps some of you waiting and wondering.

Just to get ahead of the onslaught:

GC §411.177. ISSUANCE OR DENIAL OF LICENSE. (b) The department shall, not later than the 60th day after the date of the receipt by the director’s designee of the completed application materials:
(1) issue the license;
(2) notify the applicant in writing that the application was denied: :rules: :rules: :rules: :rules: :rules: :rules:

Being that a day is not defined as a business day or calendar day. It seems to leave the RSD the option to interpret the law the way they want to.
But...

Today is 87 calendar days and 60 business days for me, and no dice. Mail has already come this morning, and I got nothing but junk mail. Any time window for approval/disapproval is a moot point for RSD. I get that they're busy, it's crossed over the border to ridiculous at this point with February and March applicants already receiving their LTC.

No. No you're not. There's a handful of us in mid-late January still with no status update. :banghead:

Unless I hit my head really hard and I'm hallucinating - which is possible...
Congrats, man!!! I'm 4 days behind you, but not even remotely getting my hopes up.

I am WAITING for the plastic for the opposite reason! I want to walk in and say, "I'll take that one" and when they get out the paperwork, just hand over the license...

90 days seems an inevitability at this point.
You do realize that you will still have to fill out the paperwork, right? They just don't have to call NICS. :tiphat:
Right you are. Too many hours at work yesterday. I am known to say dumb things when I'm tired. And when I'm not tired, according to my wife. :banghead:

meyerch5 wrote:It was strange today, since this was the first day since I was confirmed (Jan 21), that I didn't have any hope when I went to the mailbox... Since I had spoken to RSD earlier, I knew for a fact that there was no license waiting for me. I have to say, it was a bit sad. Even as frustrating as it has been, its still great to have some positive anticipation when I check the website or the mailbox.

I'm not calling anymore. I'm just going to treat every trip to the mailbox like Christmas morning!

and enjoy my time in the waiting room with y'all.

Patience.
I'm right there with you. I'm just over it at this point, just a big "Meh" with the whole process. I do have my Arizona non-resident, but that's not the point any longer for me. I followed the process, followed the regulations and paid my money to the state, and people who submitted after me (January 25) already have license in hand? I give up.
