Re: In n Out Burger VS Whataburger
They put an In-n-Out in Killeen a couple years ago. Being situated next to the largest Army base in the US, it was a big deal. Mostly by soldiers who were either from, or had been stationed in, California. I Have tried it on a few occasions and still don't get the hype. I just don't like the taste o...

Re: Funner than chunkin rocks at a sign!
I've had a lot of fun with my Shockwave. For the range, I just shoot cheap field loads. But, for HD, I think the Aguilla mini shells are the best option.

Re: "Gunsplaining" is apparently offensive to liberal gun grabbers.
I was thinking that gun people correct each other on terminology all the time. True. That reminds me of a time I was at a commercial range shooting my M1 Garand. I was looking for one of the clips that got away from me after it was ejected. The RO asked what I was doing, and when I said I was looki...

Re: Mossberg. Have they improved?
I chose the Shockwave over the Remington Tac-14 for a few reasons. First, the one shell extra capacity that comes with the Mossberg. For some reason Remington made theirs 4+1. Second, I like the shell lifter arrangement, safety switch, and bolt release placement better than Remington's. I own a olde...

Re: Mossberg Shockwave
My problem is finding the mini-shells. They don't seem to be in stock anywhere. I already have the adaptor but haven't installed it because I have no ammo that will work. I know what you mean. I couldn't find them anywhere local at first. I had to drive to another town where a gun shop just happene...

Re: Mossberg Shockwave
I shot some Aguila mini shells (buckshot) yesterday in my Shockwave. I am thinking they are the perfect mate to this firearm for the purpose of home defense. The recoil is a pussycat compaired to any other 2&3/4" buck I've tried. At 21 feet, (my maximum realistic HD scenerio,) they had abou...

Re: Reckless Driving in Virginia a Criminal Offense?
I am not sure but I think I remember reading once that being stopped for excessive speeding over the speed limit could also be a criminal offense in Texas. All moving violations in Texas are criminal offenses. Class C misdemeanors. Reckless driving in Texas can get you a class B misdemeanor charge....

Re: Can't bring ammo into California
After looking up Proposition 63, I think it only applies to California residents because, they are now required to get a permit from the California DOJ to buy ammo and submit to a background check. I'm not sure how this affects non residents of California while traveling or visiting the state.

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
Snip: I note that a few posts back sbrawley mentions that a Harris County Sheriff's processing center has a 30.06 in a public access area. If this is indeed the case, take note that the OAG just last month issued a violation letter to the Killeen PD, telling them that while they can post the jail po...
