Chase is completely unposted. I CC there regularly, but I haven't OC'd. I've never been inside of a Frost branch, but I did research them a bit. I believe that both require a fairly substantial balance in order to get free checking. It is tough to find free checking anywhere unless you have at least $10,000 in deposits. Chase will also give you a free safe deposit box if you have the right kind of account. Importantly, some banks include things like mortgages and IRA accounts in their required balances (I know that Wells Fargo, another unposted option does this). So you don't necessarily need to be "rich".LucasMcCain wrote:Texas Trust Credit Union was posted 30.06 before the first of the year, but they took those down and posted 30.07 January 1. I have no real problem concealing while banking, as long as I can still be armed. However, they have started charging a monthly fee for checking, unless you are quite rich and have a lot of loans and stuff through them. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere soon because of this. Last I checked, Chase and Frost are both completely unposted. I don't know if they offer free checking.
