Just because schoolchildren are present in a location does not make it the location of a school-sponsored event. I carried in the mall yesterday. Schoolchildren everywhere. Totally fine. This argument should hopefully be shot down in the next legislative session. The private offices thing is also ridiculous.
It's interesting that they specify "oral" notice for that one. Doesn't oral imply spoken and not written, or do I have that wrong. If it doesn't cover written communication, then including a note in the course syllabus or putting a sign on your office door would be insufficient.
