Maximum commute to Irving or Dallas 45 minutes with traffic.

With that said, does anyone have advice on areas I should be looking in?
What do you do that has to be done in the DFW metroplex? There are a lot of open spaces in Texas.
The sad part is 100% of my job COULD be done remotely from anywhere in the world. Just hard to find companies that realize that. Dallas is where my boyfriend wants to be and I've got family in Plano, Rockwall, and Sherman that I don't want to stray too far from. That's why I've settled on the DFW metroplex for work.

Re: Searching for a new home base.

Thank you all. I will make a day trip and do some exploring in the next few weeks. From the sound of it though, I may just have to get used to spending a lot of time on the road. Good thing I love my truck.

Re: Searching for a new home base.

I know I'm looking for a unicorn lol! I grew up in Plano, then moved out to Sherman. I'm spoiled by the country but need the convenience of the city for work.

I don't suppose there's 5-10 acres hanging around in Carrollton or Farmers Branch? (For less than the cost of the entire Cowboys starting line up.)
