Re: Is anyone in charge of technical issues and responding to new member applications?

A man wanted to become a monk so he went to the monastery and talked to the head monk. The head monk said, "You must take a vow of silence and you can only say two words every 3 years." The man agrees and takes the vow of silence. Three years later the head monk comes to him and says, &quo...

Re: I think the forum is dying

Thanks, but I'm looking for "Ignore Topic"... as in.... When I pull up the active topics list, don't show me that thread at all.. It would be extra nice to have a feature for a blanket... "Don't show me any threads started by user ______ <name>" Yeah, more like Facebook. ...

Re: I think the forum is dying

I feel like the downtime the forum experienced recently didn’t help the activity level. DNS is still hosed somehow. About half the time when I land here I get a site not found error. Refreshing the browser almost always loads the site the second time unless it really is down. As far as the dominati...

Re: Enforceability of mask requirements

I tend not to go places where masks are "enforced". But when you really need tires or a renewal, what are you going to do? I've been using these since April 2020, not even Costco or the DPS called me out on it. Is it a face covering that covers mouth and nose? Check, you may enter. I also ...

Mine expires 11/22 but still no option online. I'll look again on Tuesday or Wednesday. They probably have to send an operator to the basement to run a batch of punch cards.

Dr. at White House press conference. She was asked the mortality rate and said 0.7%. That may be her estimate once it's all said and done but that's not the current rate based on known cases. I'd like to know what context that was given by her. I calculated the US. 115 current deaths out of 6,508 c...

Re: Denton County Precinct 3 Government Center 30.06/30.07

Denton Precinct 3 06/07 posting moved to the courtroom entrance. No signage downstairs now. Good. I’ve carried in there previously outside of the JP court. Nice to know they moved the signs. My first couple of visits there I did not see the signs. I only became aware when I took my daughter for a d...

I honestly don't believe that was an accident. Although, after spending 4 hours and 40 minutes in line for a drivers license renewal yesterday, I can see how they might be more comfortable with unarmed patrons.
