Re: My instructor said....
My "the instructor said" moment was when he suggested that we fire a round into the ground when we draw our firearm... What he said WHAT? If you heard him correctly, that is not just not staying up on current law as it relates, not Admin changes, that was a direct lecture statement from a...

Re: My instructor said....
Thanks for the tidbit about the courthouse. Now I need to file a complaint for the one in Edinburg. My "the instructor said" moment was when he suggested that we fire a round into the ground when we draw our firearm.... I think there also needs to be signage scenarios such as having a blue...

Re: Traveling to South Padre, what about CBP
They're Feds, our LTC's don't mean anything to them so I don't see why you'd voluntarily give more information to them.

Re: Traveling to South Padre, what about CBP
I live in the valley and regularly go through the checkpoint before falfurrias. I've had several rifles and loads of ammo in the back and they've never asked about it. I also "fit the description" of their suspects and even then I've never been questioned beyond the US citizen question. Of...

Re: Texas Capitol - State Trooper Contact
The troopers are going to have a field day with my LTC. I was a day over 18 when I took the photo for my DL and they ended up using the DL photo on my LTC.

Re: T.G.I.Fridays signage in Plano...
I've gotten into so many arguments with people over this it's insane. They go over it in class, how people still think it gives them "permission" to carry is beyond me.chamberc wrote:You're upset they posted a Blue sign, which they're required to do, and has no impact on your carry status?

I'm tempted to OC past a 30.06 only establishment.

Yeah, the cop said "nice AK's" and let me off with a warning.

Re: Is the George R Brown Convention Ctr in Houston posted
EDIT: the Pasadena letter in the 30.06 rulings covered something similar. The city government decided to bar any future events from posting the signs due to the complaint.

Re: The years is half over and I haven't seen an open carrier yet
The only times I ever OC is when I'm at the ranch or traveling. I've OC'd a few times in town but it was usually because I had been OC all day anyway. The first time I did, I got two reactions; one was from this guy a little older than me (I was 21 at the time) who looked mortified when he noticed i...

Re: Pleasant surprise at the doctor's office today
I work at a hospital and all of the 30.06 signs, even newly placed ones don't have compliant language. All of the clinics that the hospital owns only have 30.07 signs.

Secession is tricky business. I'm sure the "remain" campaign will exploit this tragedy to garner more support for remaining in the EU.

Re: New church signs
I repair organs and digital keyboards and as such I go to a significant number of Churches. Since the OC law has been enacted, a large number of these Churches are posting both 30.06 and 30.07 signs at their entrances. So I have pretty much stopped carrying. I have had several discussions with chur...

SAXET also posts both signs at the McAllen convention center when they come over which ironically is the only time I've ever seen one at the convention center. I'm guessing it's invalid even if they're renting the space?

The few warranty claims I have filed always sent it back to my house.
