Where do you think airsoft is from?

They have some very nice looking gun replicas that are made in Japan, but
they don't sell them over there. MGC makes some quality looking fake guns.
BTW, you can't own a Samurai sword in Japan unless it is registered.

I worked for a Japanese company in the Mexican border town, Reynosa,Tamps

Whenever we had "younger" Japanese visitors come to visit we would try to take them to visit a shooting range in Texas.
Most of them were a little skeptical at first because they had never even seen a real gun in person, let alone shot one.
Most of them enjoyed the shooting experience and wanted to go the next time they visited the U.S.
Of course, they all wanted pictures to show their friends back home.
BTW, it is illegal to sell toy guns in Japan.
