I ordered mine directly from the Kore website.warnmar10 wrote:So the trimmed end and not the tongue end? Above OP confirms it is the non-trim end that will no longer pass through the buckle not the trimmed end that will not stay clamped/engaged.Kore Essentials wrote:...
Thanks for reading and the opportunity to set things straight !
I was going to order a gun belt on Amazon but not seeing the gun belt for sale on Amazon. Am I doing it wrong?

Re: stay away from this product! Kore Essentials Belts
Then It sounds like you received a defective belt. A dress or gun belt should not delaminate after a week or two of use.dwsintxs wrote:WildBill wrote:I completely missed that in the OP.Kkpsiknl wrote:It is my understanding that you do not trim the tongue end.
Here is a quick vid by The Yankee Marshal
I couldn't understand why he had problems threading the belt through the buckle.
The end of the belt that you trim is marked in inches to show you how much to trim off.
You DO NOT trim the tongue end.
I definitely trimmed the correct end. There is NO doubt about that.
I can not remember any belt that I have ever owned come apart like yours.

Re: stay away from this product! Kore Essentials Belts
The construction of the Kore belts are different than conventional belts.SigM4 wrote:Maybe I'm just dense, but any belt where I have to trim off excess seems like a bad idea, especially for a gun belt. Part of the strength of most gun belts is the stitching that runs along the exterior edges of the belt. By trimming off the tongue you'd lose this stitching on the end. I don't care how good the bonding is between the front and back pieces the fact that they started separating isn't surprising. Moreover I'd imagine you wouldn't get a very clean cut, or that it would look very unfinished vs. a properly edged belt. Just seems like a bad idea overall.
Not a jab at you OP, just an observation from someone that's had many good (and even more bad) gun belts over the years.
From my observations, the "core" seems to be plastic and it is covered by thin layers of leather that are bonded together.
The stitching [very thin and weak thread] appears to be more cosmetic than actually holding the belt together.
When I cut the belt to size, the stitching came undone, but the belt seems to hold together fine.
I bought one of their gun belts a few weeks ago and did a short review. http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic. ... r#p1065012
