I also believe that Texans are known for being independent and very protective of their family and property.Of course when you get to know the laws of the various states, Texas is much better than most.
However, I don't think most people are aware of the specifics of each state.
I am sure there are many people from other states who think that there aren't any gun laws in Texas.
Some probably think we still hang horse thieves.
