Then hopefully someone will invite me to a BBQ. But I'll get prepared just in case. :thumbs2:
You could always invite people to your place for a BBQ. ;-)

I told my wife the same thing, with one exception.

I suggested she could throw some old tires on me (ah, when I'm dead that is) and throw some gasoline on it and sent me ablaze in the back yard, but apparently there are laws against that...

Could sure save some money and hassle though, but NOOOOO the funeral homes would have a hissy...
It would also be embarrassing if someone called the local fire department to put you out.

Exactly! Most of us can't afford big gaudy diamonds.

It would almost have to be a 1911. I'd like to stay low key and "classic" whatever that really means. I appreciate full coverage engraving and gold inlay but that's not really my style, or in my budget.

I'd love to see your BBQ guns to get a feel and some ideas.
How about a Dan Wesson Guardian? It seems to meet your criteria and it's available in 9mm, .45ACP, & .38 Super.

This one happens to be .45. I'll admit, I never thought of it as a BBQ gun before.
Both classic and tasteful, this Dan Wesson, in the right holster, would be an acceptable BBQ gun.

Maybe gay would be more accurate.

Remember, he and Tonto had to go into couples therapy when the Lone Ranger found out what "Kemosabe" really meant...

Yes, perhaps a "lace" holster would be a lovely alternative to stinky old leather or heavens, the "ever so gauche" kydex.

I feel like swooning!

My hand is fanning my face to keep from passing out!!
Are you calling the Lone Ranger a "girly girl"? This was his EDC and not even a BBQ gun.

As for me, I'm sticking with my Glock 19. You can't go wrong with classic black. Goes with everything.
Especially if you drip some BBQ sauce on your "classic black."

I wouldn't get a engraved with gold inlay either, I just can't picture me wearing a Kydex holster with an off-the-shelf black M&P for a BBQ rig. ;-)
I agree. I'd like to find a "Sunday-go-to-meeting" gun for special occasions. Not a safe queen but not my EDC. Something nice but tasteful and reserved. Then a nice engraved leather holster of similar adornment.

I would buy a fancier belt, maybe some engraving and a silver buckle.
